National Institute of Technology
NIT Full Form is National Institute of Technology. NITs refer to the autonomous group of engineering colleges which are of high-level importance regarding studies of engineering in India. In fact, institutes in this group are public engineering colleges which are given absolutely national priority through Act of Parliament. These institutes were formerly known as Regional Engineering colleges that were under the direct influence and authority of the respective state governments. Each major state in India has at least one NIT.
NITs in India offers various courses on the levels of graduate degree, master’s degree and Ph.D. Students in NITs get admission according to their rank of merit achieved in Joint Entrance Examination(JEE). As NITs have multiple courses related to various branches of economy, a student has the privilege to choose between them according to his choice. NITs have the authority to create their own curriculums. The pattern of these courses is divided into semesters which allow the institution to note the progress of a student and offers the students to have the opportunity to evaluate themselves on a regular basis.
NITs are designed to produce high-level engineers in every field of engineering. Students are taught with a deep insight into various sectors of technology.
