The International Trade Center, which is the English translation for the Centre du commerce international (CCI), refers to an important subsidiary organization of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTD). The organization discharges many functions that are vital to the effective functioning of the above-mentioned world organizations. It engages in providing technical assistance in the fields relating to trade and commerce.
The ITC is engaged in functions that are not as wide as that of the World Trade Organization, which majorly deals with legal framework affecting international trade, and the United Nationals Conference on Trade and Development, which primarily deals with activities pertaining to research and promotion. Headquartered in Geneva with one field office situated in Mexico city, the ITC was established as the successor of the International Trade Information Centre that was founded under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) in the year 1964. The purpose behind the foundation of the predecessor organization was to provide assistance in supporting developing countries in their export promotion works.
It was aimed at developing research activities and promoting training of personnel engaged in relevant tasks. However, more efforts were needed to achieve this objective and so the merger of the WTO and UNCTD in order to streamline the whole process was proposed. The agreement was inked in the year 1967 and the ITC was established on January 1, 1968.

ITC Full Form stands for Incorporated Television Company. The Incorporated Television Company, which is famously known as ITC or ITC Entertainment (in the United States), is basically a television company headquartered in London, the United Kingdom. This British company is engaged in the production and distribution business. The ITC has four divisions namely, ITC Home Video, ITC Film Distributors, AP Films, and ITC Films.
Lets us explore some history behind the foundation of the ITC. The television magnate Lew Grade had founded the company in the year 1954. The company was founded as the Incorporated Television Programme Company and was originally structured to work as a contractor for the United Kingdom’s new Independent Television (ITV) but failed to secure a contract with it because the authority felt that it would give too much control to the Grade business.
The ITC was a subsidiary of the Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC), which later became Associated TeleVision (ATV) from1955 to 1966. From 1966 to 1982, the ITC remained a subsidiary of Associated Communications Corporation (ACC) after the ATV was acquired.
The ITC garnered immense popularity in the foreign market and this led ACC to receive the Queen’s Award for Export. Unfortunately, after a brief period of success, ATV witnessed its demise. The ITC then became the production company in the year 1982. Later in 1988, the Bond Corporation purchased the Bell group that owned ITC.
The ITC is best known for many British cult TV series during the 1960s and 1970s. Full Form of ITC refers to International Typeface Corporation. It was a kind of type manufacturer based in the New York City. The ITC was established in the year 1970 by three business tycoons Aaron Burns, Edward Rondhaler, and Herb Lubalin. The ITC is a historical corporation as it is one the world’s first type manufacturing units that has no history of metal type production.
Since the corporation holds historical importance, it would be appropriate to learn some historical facts about its inception and beyond. The purpose for the establishment of the ITC was to provide designing, licensing, and marketing services of typefaces used in films and also the popular computer set types across the world. The ITC actively produced new designs and revamped the older version in order to make them compatible with requirements of digital typesetting. The Esselte Letraset acquired the ITC in the year 1986. In the year 2000, the Agfa Monotype Corporation announced that it would acquire capital stock of the ITC from Esselte Letraset. Agfa Monotype was later incorporated in Monotype Imaging on November 2005.
Full Form of ITC: IntelliCAD Technology Consortium
ITC Full Form refers to IntelliCAD Technology Consortium. It is the name of a non-profit organization of developers who manage all vanilla-stock IntelliCAD source code toolkits for the CAD interface. The ITC is actively engaged in researching upon and developing high-quality integrations with the third party technological innovations.
The third party technologies mentioned include DWGdirect library, which is now known as “Teigha for.dwg files” that writes .dwg format and the ACIS 3D modeling kernel of the spatial technology. The ITC also maintains APIs for their CAD interface. The ITC is currently headquartered in Portland in Oregon, the United States. The ITC has total 50 members as of now.

ITC Full Form: Independent Television Commission
Full Form of ITC stands for Independent Television Commission. It refers to a regulatory body in the United Kingdom. The ITC used to provide licenses to and ensure regulatory control on television services between January 1, 1991, and December 28, 2003. The name of the Commission is significant as the word “independent” implies freedom from the British Broadcasting Corporation, ubiquitously known as BBC, and not the government.
The ITC was established vide the Broadcasting Act 1990, which was enforced with the purpose of providing a more robust and functional replacement of the Independent Broadcasting Authority, which was founded vide the Sound Broadcasting Act 1972, and Cable Authority.
The commission came into existence on January 1, 1991. Along with the ITC, the Broadcasting Act 1990 also established the Channel Four Television Corporation to operate Channel 4. Major overhauling in the regulatory framework of the ITC happened in subsequent years that empowered it with the function of ‘light touch regulation’.
The British government proposed merger of the ITC and the Radio Authority, Office of Telecommunication, and Radiocommunication Agency. The merger was enforced vide the Communications Act 2003. Now most of the functions of the ITC are discharged by the Office of Communications.
Before the merger, the ITC functioned along with two independent bodies to address complaints against individuals and contents broadcasted on televisions: the Broadcasting Complaints Commission and the Broadcasting Standards Council.

The ITC was founded vide the Texas Legislature in the year 1965. It was originally known as the Texas Pavilion at HemisFair ’68 but its name was changed to the University of Texas System in the year 1969. ITC Full Form stands for Integrated Telecom Company. It refers to a telecom service provider that provides broadband, interconnection, and satellite services for business enterprises and consumers in the Saudi Arabian market. The ITC was established in the year 2005. It is part of the Maward Holding Group of Companies that is also a Saudi conglomerate. The entire group is composed of about 27 subsidiaries involved in many business fields concerning media and communications and some trade projects.
The ITC is predominant in the Saudi market and owns Data Service Provider (DSP), Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) license. It also owns six data centers and Cable Landing Stations in Al Khobar and Jeddah. These Cable stations connect the Saudi Arabian Kingdom to the world with the help of submarine cables.
