Full Form of ISC:
Indian School Certificate
ISC Full Form is Indian School Certificate. Indian School Certificate is a kind of examinations that are conducted to evaluate students of grade 12. These examinations are organized by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. Though these tests are mainly conducted within India, students from a few other countries enroll in this system as well. The scores obtained are recognized by the universities in the UK.
The study system and the examination process follow the norms of Indian New Education Policy and the regulations prescribed by the University of Cambridge. English is a compulsory subject in this module and the tests are also conducted in English medium (except other language subjects). Earlier it was treated as equivalent to pre-university test, but now it is considered as the high school level test.
The tests are conducted in accordance with the syllabus of study which apart from English, includes 18 Indian languages, 5 modern foreign languages, 3 classical languages, 3 variant streams of music, and 25 other subjects. The study module is of high level. Students who pass ISC have a higher percentage of opportunity to get admitted into A-Level colleges, than those students who pass 12th grade from respective state boards or councils. The grading and marking system is of A-level. Teachers help the students in every possible way to succeed in their future life; they help them with a generous marking system too. The study module is difficult, but the possibility to attain a good grade is higher.
