IDEA Full Form? Well. It is just the name of a company and not an acronym to have a full form. Idea Cellular, commonly known as Idea, is an Indian company that provides mobile network services in India. It is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The company provides 2G, 3G, 4G services across the country. It is presently the third-biggest mobile operator in terms of subscriber base.
Founded in the year 1995, Tata Group, AT&T Wireless and Aditya Birla Group each held 1/3 equity in the company. Following the merger of the At&T Wireless with Cingular Wireless in the year 2004, the latter announced the sale of its 32.9 percent stakes in the company. These stakes were later bought by Tata Group and Aditya Birla Group.
