Full Form of HVAC:
Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
HVAC Full Form is Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. It is a technology that controls the immediate surrounding in order to provide a great caloric comfort, with good air quality. The designing of HVAC is a discipline which strictly falls under Mechanical Engineering. It based on the basic principles of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. It is used in both residential and commercial indoor spaces.
In certain systems, Refrigeration is also included and it is also known as HVACR and in certain systems, it includes refrigeration but no ventilation and then this system is known as HACR. Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning are all related to each other. HVAC systems increase the ventilation and reduce the air infiltration. It is also useful in maintaining the relative pressure of air between all the spaces.
For HVAC systems to be installed in a building it needs to cover and clear certain inspections and also obtain the apt building permit. The type of system to be installed is basically determined by the inner dimensions of a building. The HVAC systems can be either split or central. Also, irrespective of type, every HVAC system requires maintenance. The most important maintenance activity is cleaning and replacement of the air filters.
