Carbon Copy

CC Full Form (in email) is Carbon Copy. CC refers to the copy of a note or email sent to someone other than the main person intended. This is also called FCC or First Carbon Copy. This is often confused with BCC, which is the Blind Carbon Copy. Unlike CC, in BCC, the main recipient of the mail or notice will not be aware of the carbon copy sent to the other person. This is used more for a backup. In CC you make the backup recipient visible to the main receiver of the mail whereas; in BCC, the backup recipient is hidden from the main receiver. The name CC is derived from the olden days of typewriters. To make additional copies of contents typed in a sheet, carbon papers were used under the main sheets. This would enable copies to be obtained as the matter is typed.

CC Full Form (in Engine) – Cubic Capacity

Full Form of CC (in Engine) refers to Cubic Centimetres indicated as cm3, which is essentially a metric unit used for measuring the volume or the capacity of an engine. It is often referred to as Engine Displacement that denotes the displacement of a piston inside a cylinder from the Top Dead Centre (abbreviated as TDC) to Bottom Dead centre (abbreviated as BDC) in the one complete cycle of an engine. CC is also measured in terms of Litres. When an engine has the capacity of, for example, 1000cc, then it has a capacity of 1 Litre. The Engine Capacity or CC is often defined as the combined capacity of every cylinder used in an engine in its one whole cycle. It has an essential role to play in the determination of outputs from engine such as torque, engine power, mileage etc.

It indicates the space available in the cylinder to contain the mixture of air-fuel for burning. When the amount of supplied fuel is greater, the more is the power, however, there is a reduction in the mileage. With the increase in the cylinder’s volume, the power output ascends too and the same change is noted in the fuel consumption. Thus, in this context, there is an inversely proportional relationship between the car’s mileage and the engine capacity in a traditional design. Presently, many automotive manufacturers are engaged in the development of petrol engines that can strike an equilibrium between the mileage and power and help in securing better performance and efficiency.
